Intimate Sediment this sculptural piece embodies a tension between softness and hardness, intimacy and exposure. A textile core—handwoven with threads in warm, fleshy tones—emerges from layers of a rough shell made from ground eggshells and xanthan gum. The act of covering the textile with this organic coating evokes a contemporary fossilization process: a way of encapsulating material memory, protecting the manual gesture, and allowing time to shape the work.
